I am currently a CNRS researcher at the LPNC / University Grenoble Alpes (FR). In the past I worked in Paris (Ecole Normale Supérieure, IRCAM) and in the UK (University of East London, Cambridge University). My research aims to better understand the (meta)cognitive and social mechanisms that support communication and transmission in humans. I am especially interested in how, to what extent and under which conditions young children shape cultural transmission.
Currently, I am working on three main projects.
In the first project, called QUEST, we try to understand whether (and if so, how) questioning could be an interesting tool to reduce learning inequalities in the classroom.
The second project, called RESSAC aims to discover how infants develop a sense of agency over their own voice (our hypothesis is : thanks to contingency), and how this supports their understanding of intentional communication. WE ARE RECRUITING A RESEARCH ENGINEER AND A POST-DOC AS PART OF THIS PROJECT, contact me if you are interested !
In the third project, I am trying to critically confront some of the MYTHS we use to describe young children's mental lives with scientific evidence.
